I'm thrilled to have found Hubpages as a way to creatively express my interests and passions.

Although I have a Journalism degree, my career focus has also been in many areas outside of the media...as an insurance broker/agent, education, business manager, financial services and business owner/entrepreneur.

My most important adventure in life, however, is as a wife and mother. Married for 14 years, my husband and I have been blessed with 2 boys, age 9 and 12. We are now experiencing those sometimes difficult, sometimes funny parenting years: the tweens!

In my free time, I love to read, listen to music and garden. My husband and I often find ourselves with friends having deep, philosophical discussions about all sorts of topics: the meaning of life, religion, politics, etc. 

One of my most recent writing projects is a blog about a topic I never thought I would write about: alien abductions and ufo sightings. With so many recent reports of sightings, my kids started asking a lot of questions….I started doing a lot of research, and then thought I’d share my perspective online.
